Hello cards w/ Ange

What's up Friday?!
The last Friday of August, I don't believe it! It's also my baby boy's 5th birthday!! He is growing up way too fast.
I have a couple cards for you today using Telegraph Road from Kaisercraft. You can find it in the Speedy Scrappers store. One of them I did make into a birthday card for my mom, but they are both really general on the front, so you can do whatever you wish when you're ready to send them.

First up:

This is the one I turned into a birthday card. I started with a white cardstock base. Then I used the 4x6 pocket page card from Receive on the front and took one of the 3x4 ones from Parcel and cut out just the "Hello Sunshine" portion of it to add as a sentiment. I rounded a couple of the opposing corners before sliding it under the portion of the flowers that I fussy cut, so they would sit on top. Then finished up with some clear stickles. Inside I just added a Happy Birthday sentiment with a stamp and then wrote in it.

Next up:

For this one I started with a white cardstock base then added Letter to it after punching the borders. I then used another 3x4 card from Receive to add over the top along with the Hello banner and a couple of Irocks from Imaginisce to glitz it up a bit. Add your sentiment inside and you're ready to mail!

Have a scrappy weekend my friends!
Don't forget to share your creations on the facebook page!!

Mini Book

Hi, it's Joan, sharing an accordion fold mini book that I made. This book measures 3.25" x 4". It is made with the Sears & Son collection by Kaisercraft. I used the cards from the Pocket Watch paper, leaving some as they were. On some, I cut the saying or picture and mounted them to patterned paper. I also added a few small photos. The first two pictures show the whole book, then they go in order from the front cover to the back cover.

This was a fun, quick and easy book to make! Get the Sears & Son collection by Kaisercraft at the Speedy Scrappers store and have fun scrapping!

You and me card by jen t.

Hi all, happy tuesday!! I am sharing with you yet another 6x6 gate fold card and envelope i made using... kaisercrafts honey chai..( did you figure out by now that i love this collection) . To make this card i first started with a 6x 12 piece of the green wood grain paper and folded it on the 3 and 6 inch then folded inward toward the middle. I then cutout a journal card i liked for the top of the card but the saying wasn't what i needed it to say so i took a piece of the striped pp and but it over the words to  add my you and me stickers on top. I then adhered only the left half of the journal card to the flap and added a butterfly stickers folded added to the edge of each flap. Lastly i printed a poem , inked all edges if the card and matted it to the floral paper and added pearls to the flowers and butterflies to fancy it up a little bit more. Thanks for stopping by and happy creating! jen t.

The Plane w/ Ange

 Hello, Speedy Scrapper friends!
I hope you've had a great week (and hoping we survived our first week of school!).
Today I have a bit of travel fun for you, using the Now Boarding line from Kaisercraft:

I used the right side of this sketch from Nuts About Sketches:

I love sketches! They are just a great way to really jump start your creativity. You can stick really close to it or change up anything to fit your needs.

Since the sketch allowed for journaling and title on the left side I had to find a place for them in my layout. I only had 2 vertically oriented photos so it worked great for me to add my journaling there. I was going to place my title there also but decided to go with a spot along the top instead.

It fit great along the tops of my photos next to the cute little stickers I added for embellishment.

The sketch called for a decorative strip and some banners in the middle, which was the part I really loved. I thought these fun banner stickers would be perfect to hang off my strip, which is the backside of the barcode strip of Terminal, my base paper.

Do you have some vacation pictures to scrap? Come pick up this great line from the Speedy Scrappers store and show us your pages on facebook.

Happy Scrapping!
:)Ange

Violet Crush layout

Hi, it's Joan, here today with a scrapbook page using Kaisercraft's "Violet Crush" collection. I rarely make 12" x 12" pages, but when I saw this gorgeous die cut paper, I had to use it. The photo on this page shows my great-niece, Aria Rose, dressed in black and eating her cereal with a purple spoon. Perfect match with the purples and blacks in this collection of papers and embellishments!

I began by attaching the Violet Crush 12x12 Grape die cut paper to a piece of black cardstock and matting the photo with the B side of the Dainty paper and attaching it to the center of the die cut. Next, I typed my journaling on the computer on a journaling card cut from the Iris paper. Then I added butterfly stickers from the sticker sheet and die cuts (rosebud, Today tag & Documented banner piece) from the Collectables pack. Lastly, I put Aria's name with Thickers.

I think the "Violet Crush" collection is one of Kaisercraft's best - the colors, die cuts and stickers are so beautiful! Check out the Speedy Scrappers store for this fantastic line.

Wedding day by jen t. Using kaisercraft honey chai

Hi all, happy tuesday!!! Have you gotten your hands on the kaisercraft honey chai collection yet? It is so fun to create with!!! It is a beautiful paper collection! For this week i made a page with a pic i found recently of my parents wedding. I just love the black and white photos on these romantic and floral patterned papers. I first put the diecut frame onto the floral paper and grabbed bits and scraps left from my other projects and layered them. Then, i played with the stickers and used the two floral clusters opposite each other and laid the border sticker on top. Next to add texture i added a doily flower from my stash and placed a flower sticker on top. Lastly, i added letter stickers to make the title and added some bling and rubons from my stash for interest. Thanks for stopping by and happy creating!!! Jen t.

What i used:
kaisercraft honey chai papers ,diecutcut paper and stickers

From my stash: pink paislee rubons, and green gems

Two cards w/ Ange

Hello and Happy Friday!
This is our last weekend before school starts up. I can't believe that, technically, summer is a weekend away from being over. Crazy. Well, I plan to go party it up a bit at our local fair before my kids head back and we get into the regular grind.
Before I take off tho, I've got a couple cards for you:

I used Kaisercrafts Telegraph Road from Speedy Scrappers for both of these, they are 4.25x5.5. For this first one I inked the base with a bright pink, then used a loopy border/corner punch on a scrap of Letter pattern paper, layered a couple die-cuts, stickers and this easy sticker sentiment.

I wanted a different look for this one so I used weathered wood ink, it has a bit of a blue cast to it that I liked. Then I put the border sticker across the top, just trim it down to the size you need. After that I found a scrap of the pink Message paper and punched the corners. I didn't like it straight on the card, so I cut a piece of Memo to back it with and rounded the corners. Then I layered the stickers, die-cuts and sentiments but finished up with some bling across the top.

If you get some scrappy time this weekend, come show us what you're up to on the Speedy Scrappers facebook page.
Have a great weekend everyone!

Violet Crush Cards

Hi, it's Joan, here to share two cards I made using Kaisercraft's "Violet Crush" collection. The cards came together quickly because this line has pretty papers, die cuts and stickers.

The first card is is 6.5" x 4.5". I began with a black card base and added the following: a layer of Plum paper, the flower paper with saying (from the B side of the Wall Flower patterned paper) and three butterfly stickers. I inked the edges of the papers with black chalk ink. I creased the butterflies gently and adhered their bodies, keeping the wings off the paper to make it look as if they are flying.

For the second card (4" x 5.5"), I added a layer of Musk patterned paper and then a smaller layer of the pink polka dotted paper (B side of the Musk paper). Edges of the papers were inked with black chalk ink and adhered to a black card base. To finish the card, I pop dotted the die cuts (saying & flowers) and added a butterfly sticker.

Visit the Speedy Scrappers store to get this and other Kaisercraft collections. Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

You are no. 1!!! Using kaisercraft blast off collection by jen t.

Hi all, happy tuesday!!!  I am excited to share a fun card i made with ya today using the papers from the blast off kaisercraft and border stickers from the hello sunshine kaisercraft collection.  It is a 6 x6 card (my fav size) with a square window. I first cut out the word paper and used it as a base and then adhered the red star cutout on top.  I looked at it and didn't like it so i saw my alien cutout and thought it would look cute peeking out of the card. So, to make the square window i busted out my old school fiskars shape cutting board and picked a square closest to the size of my lil alien and held my breath as i cut thru the two layers of paper without a mistake and swoo! It did! :D i then put him from behind on to the inside of the card, added the sticker border strips to the top and added some punched out and pop-dotted shapes for dimension. Next i cutout the words you are and made it into a banner for the top left corner Then for a little sparkle i added layered white and green sequins for the aliens eyes and a dot a gold stickles on the eyes and star for some sparkle. thanks for stopping by and happy creating!!  JEN T.

Moment layout w/ Ange

Hello Speedy Scrappers! I hope you're enjoying some beautiful summer days in your area. We've had some heavy down pours here lately but I'm really enjoying it because we tend to be quite hot and dry this time of year normally.
Today I have a beautiful photo I took of my daughter a couple years ago on a hike we took:

I used the lovely Telegraph Road line from Kaisercraft. I started with the Notes paper as my base. It's so lovely that you almost want to just stick your photo down and be done with the page. I think you definitely could, but I added some paper strips from Memo and Message.

Then I got busy layering a barcode strip along with some ribbons. I also used a corner punch on the Message paper and a couple of the washi looking stickers from the sticker sheet.

I backed my photo with Letter after using the corner punch and a border punch on it. Then wrapped it with some twine and hid some flowers and journaling behind it. For my journaling card I used one of the ledger die-cuts, cut this tag from the sticker sheet apart to add to it with the tab at the top and then added the moment sticker.
I finished up by adding some little flowers from my stash in the lower corner of the photo, layered the Better Laughing die-cut and little heart sticker. As usual, I inked all of my edges. I used black this time because I knew it would really make everything pop.

You can find this line in the store. We would love to have you share your projects with us on the facebook page!
Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by!

Create Sunshine card

Hi, it's Joan, here with a card to share. I used KaiserCrafts Blubelle collection to make this 4.75" x 6.75" card. First I cut the B side of the Azure paper (orange mat) and then layered it up with pieces of Oxford and Cambridge papers. I inked all the edges with brown chalk ink. Next, I added one of the cards from the opposite side of the Cambridge paper. I punched small banner pieces from the Capri, Windsor and Cambridge papers. The edges were inked brown and then pop dotted to form the banner. Finally, I added blue flowers from my stash and the Today banner piece from the Icons Cardstock sticker sheet.

This is such a lovely collection - I adore the blue and orange color scheme! You will love the Blubelle collection too. Pick it up at the Speedy Scrappers store.

glitter brad that I put in the flower center. lastly, I distressed and inked the edges for a shabby chic sorta look . thanks for stopping by and happy creating!!

Love layout w/ Ange

Hello my fellow Speedy Scrappers
Can you believe we are in August already? I can't, I'm a bit in shock to be honest.
But there are still plenty of warm sunny days left to spend with your loved ones. Here's a layout with a couple of just those kinds of photos:

I used the Telegraph Road line from Kaisercraft that you can find in the store. It is just gorgeous! and perfect for these sweet photos of my girls "ambushing" their Dad with a kiss. So sweet!

I started with the backside of Telegram and then added bits of Message and Memo, along with the barcode strip from Telegram. Love when those strips are useable! I also added the diamond stickers from the sticker sheet.

I used a leftover cut out from my paper strip at the top along with the fun die-cut word shapes and this fun heart sticker.

You can see that I inked everything I could in a nice blue to go with all that awesome blue sky in my photos. Then I finished up with more layered die-cuts, stickers and a bit of journaling. The "this makes me happy" and "remember this moment" die-cuts were originally tags, but I just cut them down to fit my needs. Go ahead and cut it up!
Have a great Friday!
:)Ange
