Violet Crush

Hi, it's Joan, sharing a project that features pictures of my great-niece, Aria. She loves pink and purple and so the "Violet Crush" paper collection by Kaisercraft was perfect.

I used a white printer's tray that I had in my stash, to hold photos, die cut cards and paper. The size of each opening was 2.75" x 3.75". First, I cut my pictures to size and then raised them by glueing wooden bingo numbers behind each one. I used five bingo pieces for each picture. You could also raise the photos and die cuts with thick pop dots or wooden Scrabble tiles. Next, I added patterned papers (keeping them flat) in some of the sections. Then I added the die cut word cards. Finally, I used some of the lovely butterfly stickers, bending their wings and attaching them only in the middle of the body, so the wings stand up.

I think that Kaisercraft has outdone themselves with this collection! The colors are lovely and you get a whole sheet of butterfly stickers in various sizes and colors. If you'd like to get this for yourself, check out the Speedy Scrappers store.

Be you card using kaisercraft honey chai

Hi all,  happy tuesday!!! Today i am sharing a card that i made using kaisercraft honey chai papers and stickers. I first started out the other night coloring a stamped image i had from a swap with my watercolor pencils. I  then realized the next day that it went with the soft colors of the honey chai collection and got excited to put them together in a card. I then took out my old school fiskars oval cutter and cut out the middle of my image of the boats and set the two pieces aside while i made the base. For the base i cut a 6 x12 piece of the pink wood grain paper and folded it in half. Then i  placed the square part of the image on top and pop-dotted the oval in the middle while  leaving room on the bottom of the card to embellish a little. next, I added a border sticker underneath and cut out the inspirational word strip from the bottom of one of the patterned papers and made it look like a banner by trimming the edges and only gluing it down in a couple spots to give it a lil dimension. Lastly, I added lil flowers I punched out with pearl centers and added a word and letter stickers to accent the corner. oh! then I wanted to add texture so I tucked three flowers to the top left corner and wrapped some twine above the border strips. make sure you get your honey chia paper collection at speedy scrappers so that you can have as much fun with this collection as I am:)
 happy creating!   jen t.

Party Animals w/ Ange

Party Animals in the house!!!
Happy Friday, Speedy Scrappers!
Today I have a fun party layout for you:

This wild scene was my son's 10th birthday party. These kids had so much fun and I'm still here, so I must have survived it. ;)
I used the adorable Kaisercrafts Party Animals collection. You can find it in the the Speedy Scrappers store.

I started with a sketch from Nuts About Sketches & kraft cardstock. Then started cutting the pps to add.

These little animals were really fun to cut out of the Yippie paper to add to my layout.

For the banner I used foam adhesive to give it the fun dimension.

We'd love for you to share what you do with this line with us on the facebook page. See you soon! :)Ange

Love those Smiles!

Hi, Joan here, with a scrapbook page to share with you today. My great-nephew, Rocco, and his sister, Aria, have the cutest smiles! I thought this photo was perfect for the saying on the die cut: "I've got nothing to do today but smile".

I made this page using the "Bluebelle" collection by Kaisercraft. I cut the B side of the Oxford paper for my background. Next I layered a large white doily and then my photo, cut to 5" x 6.5". I pop dotted the banner strip and then also pop dotted the individual word pennants and added them between the triangle banner pieces. I trimmed down the die cut card and added some of the flower stickers to two corners. I added the date with a stamp and the page was done.

Blast off!!! Bookmark/card combo By jen t.

Hi all! Happy Tuesday! I am popping on today to share a card/bookmark that i made using the kaisercraft blast off collection. I first saw the awesome long cutout with the cute aliens on one of the patterned papers and thought how cool would that be to fit a business size envelope. So i trimmed it slightly to fit and then used that as a starting point. I
Then added the red paper behind it to mat the cutout. Next, i added the word and number stickers for the sentiment and outlined it with my navy blue marker. Next, i fussy cut out two spaceships from another piece of patterned paper and set aside. I then wrapped the top of the card with twine taking note to leave a long piece to glue and sandwich the two spaceship pcs i just cut out so they would dangle from the card and i added a google eye to the middle alien to finish the front. On the backside, i cut another piece of red paper and added another long block cutout with space to but a note  and added two strips on the top and bottom with another patterened paper to add more interest. Lastly, with letters from my stash i added a reminder for the recipient to use it as a book mark. For the envelope i just added a border sticker just to fancy it up a bit.

Toddler Motto w/ Ange

Have you been playing hard this summer?
My family has been extremely busy. It's been fun, but man is it flying by.

Today I have a fun layout using this adorable line from Kaisercraft called Party Animals. I just fell in love with these papers when I saw them! The cutest prints in great colors!! Here's my layout:

I used the Hooray paper as my background. I love papers like this because they really just take all the work out of a layout. All you have to do is add photos and spruce things up a bit if you want and you have a fun layout.

My inspiration for this layout was this fun quote from the Bop! paper. My youngest son is always breaking the rules and pushing the limits, so it didn't take me long to find some fun photos of him to pair up with this cute quote.
Then I used my notebook edge punch on the quote card and my photos. I did some inking, fussy cut the monkey's tail to be above my photo and added some glitter alphas for my title. Then finished up with some fun cork stars.

Run into the Speedy Scrappers store and pick this line up, you will LOVE it!
Happy Scrapping! :)Ange

Masculine card

Hi, Joan here today to share a card I created, using Kaisercraft's "Sears & Son Collection". First, I made a card base out of brown cardstock and then layered the tan paper, called "Trilby" to the base. Next came the red paper ("Tailor") and finally the word card, cut from the "Pocket Watch" die cut sheet. The edges of all the papers were inked with dark brown chalk ink. I punched two different sizes of stars from the B side of the Pocket Watch paper. The edges of each star were inked and then the stars were pop dotted to the card. The finished card size is 4.5" x 6.5".

This Kaisercraft line of papers and die cuts is awesome - check it out at the Speedy Scrappers store! You can also visit Speedy Scrappers on Facebook for more inspiration.

It's a celebration so Dream big!! By jen t.

Hi all, happy tuesday! Great to be back from a holiday break! Did you have a great begining of july? I can't believe we are half way thru already! So today i am sharing with you a 6 x6 card i made using the kaisercraft honey chai  line. I first cut and the pink woodlook paper into a 6x 12 piece and the folded it in half to make the base. Then i cut the burnt orange paper to approx. 5 1/2 inches and adhered it ontop. Next, i cut out the dream big card and  put it on top of the orange paper leaving a space under it where i then added a piece of the butterfly border sticker. At the top i also added stickers into the corner and layered them a bit. Lastly, i distressed the edges a bit and dusted gold ink and scribbled gold gel pen around the edges and finished it with drips of the gold mist. Oh! I almost forgot! I then rub some mist onto the butterflies with my finger and added the candy dots in the middle.
Tip- unscrew the squirt top of mist spray and use the straw to put drops only in the spot you want---
Thanks for stopping by and happy creating!

A Special Guest Designer

Today on the Speedy Scrappers blog, we have a very special guest designer.  Chris Bruss (my hubby).
We celebrated our 20 year wedding anniversary in May.  For my present, Chris created this awesome layout.  And yes, he created it all by himself.

I have to say, I love how Chris took these 2 game cards and made an meaning full embellishment.  I'm super impressed that he layered them to make the one card say 20.  I guess I should be thankful that the light is green not red.

In addition to him stepping way out his comfort zone creating the layout, he also used the Silhouette to create the lettering.

I do have to say that in 20 years, this is one of the best gifts.  Don't you agree that he did a wonderful job?

Happier Than...

Happier Than...
Today post is an awesome page done by Emily Hammann.  She used the Be Different line by Fancy Pants.
I love the was she used modeling paste and stencils on the corrugated piece included in the collection kit.

You can see how she pulled the top layer of the corrugated paper off to give it a great look.  She also used sprays to add another layer of dimension.

A few foam dots to pop up the embellishment.

Emily added paint to the edges of the letters to give the letters more color and to make them not get lossed in the background.

Love this layout?  Stop by Speedy Scrappers to see it in person.
