Sleepy boyz w/ Ange

Hello!
It's Friday! Yay, weekend ahead. What are you up to this weekend?
I think we will be getting some family time and celebrating some of the great dads in our lives.

This layout just happens to be about one of them, my husband:

I used the Little Boy Blue collection from Crate Paper that you can find in the store, along with a sketch from Nuts About sketches.

I cut the yellow chevron pattern out to add bits under my photo and also tore a circle from it to add to the top of my layout. Then I added a border strip sticker and a little bit of washi tape over the top of that.

I really like the look of the different blue pattern papers layered on top of each other. This darker blue had a strong pattern, but when you use it in pieces over the other pattern it works really well.

Pick up this Crate Paper line in the store and then come share with us on the facebook page. We'd love to see what you create!!

This fun card has two pockets...

One on the inside big enough for a gift certificate...

And one on the front sized for a gift card. I added a little card with a pull tab made from leftover sticker strips that I used on the front of the card. I also added a die cut and added rhinestones to the flower centers.

More Chocolate plz! w/ Ange

 Hello!
Today I have this super fun collection that you can find at the Speedy Scrappers store!

Little Boy Blue by Crate Paper
This is the layout I made with it:

My cute little guy has one serious sweet tooth. These photos were taken after I caught him sucking on the chocolate syrup from the fridge, little stinker. But he was so cute, signing "more" and asking please with that cheesy little grin!

This set comes with a lot of patterns, 2 6x12 sticker sheets and 1 12x12 die-cut sheet, so I had a lot to work with. I cut and layered a couple of patterns under the photos and then added some strips of these adorable little ducks along the top and bottom of the layout.

I'm big on inking, so I did that with a nice bold blue to really bring out the edges, then layered more die-cuts and stickers under the photo edges and along pp borders and added a bit of pen stitching to a couple to make them pop. I happen to have this fun red Crate Paper alpha in my stash, so I used it for a large title and added the other words in smaller fonts.

I added a bit of stitching with blue twine to soften the hard lines a bit and go along with the twine I was adding to my journaling tag.

The journaling is tucked behind the middle photo, but it's on the back of this cute little card. Since my journaling was hidden I decided to add some words to the photos, so you get a gist of what's happening before you pull it out to read. Here's another look at the layout:

Swing by the store and get this cute Little Boy Blue line. You can also find us here and on facebook. Have fun scrapping!
