Quick cards w/ Ange

Quick cards are the way to go in my book. I want them to look like they took a lot of time, but be fairly simple. I think one of the best ways to do that is to use pp for your background. The problem with that is making sure the inside works to write a little note to the recipient.

For this card I wanted to use the PL style notecard, from Telegraph Road by Kaisercraft, on the front and decided it would look great over the Memo paper, so I made that the background.

Of course that makes for a really busy inside, but the cool part is that it looks like postcards. So I grabbed a couple mini postcards from the die-cut shapes pack, inked them and added them to the inside for writing on.

For this one I used a plain white background but spruced it up with some mists and ink. Then layer your pattern paper with this cute journaling card and some flower die-cuts, add your sentiment and voila, 2 quick and easy cards!

You can find this beautiful line in the Speedy Scrappers store.

Violet Crush Card

Hi, Joan here today, sharing a 7"x5" card I made, using Kaisercraft's Violet Crush collection. This is such a pretty line of papers and embellishments! I used the following papers: Plum and the B side of Lily and then added the word card from Iris. Two of the butterflies from the Collectibles pack were added last with pop dots. Since it's on a black card base, I will use a white gel pen to write a message on the inside of the card.

I never get tired of using the Violet Crush line! Go to the Speedy Scrappers store to buy this collection for yourself! Have a great day!

You are a star!!! Card

Hi all, jen t here.  happy tuesday!!i am just over the moon excited to make another card for you! ;) For this card i used the kaisercraft blast off papers. I started with my favorite size card base 6 x 6 of the kaisecraft blast off star paper then I layered on strips of barcode style paper and zigzag border stickers from the hello sunshine collection and distressed some of the edges a bit. Then, I cut out the your a star square from the blastoff cut apart sheet and a star from another sheet to popdot it and layer. next. I cut out of another sheet of paper the cute lil alien and only half pop dotted him and placed him below the star to look like he was holding it up. lastly,  I used dimensional glue to accent the lil stars and the alien eyes. thanks for stopping by and happy creating!   jen t.

Let's Travel w/ Ange

 Hey there Speedy Scrappers!
Hope you're having a fabulous Friday. I am totally ready for the weekend! A little bit of fun and relaxation sounds perfect right about now.

Today I'm working with Kaisercrafts Now Boarding line.

They have this fun 12x12 Round die-cut, Compass, that I decided to try out. I used it as my base, then added a piece of Cabin Crew along with a barcode strip and journaling card cutouts from Sail & Lounge. With all of that down I added a bit of misting.

I used a border punch on the edge of the Snap Shot journaling card.

Then I layered lots of stickers after inking their edges.

And of course my title/journaling. This photo is just a fun one from a camping trip, but I think it worked great to tell a little story about the guy I want to travel the world with.

You can find this line in the Speedy Scrappers store. Then come share what you make with us on the facebook page!

Thanks for stopping by!

Cards for Dad

Hi, Joan here today, sharing two cards I made with the Sears & Son collection from Kaisercraft. The first card is 4" x 5.5" with a brown cardstock base. I used Tailor for the first layer of paper, distressing the edges and inking with brown ink. Next, I added a layer of Trilby and then the card with the saying (from Pocket Watch). Lastly, I cut a clock from the B side of Tailor and pop dotted it to the card.

The second card is 4.25" x 5.25", also with a brown cardstock base. I used the B side of Trilby and embossed the paper with a gears embossing folder. I highlighted the embossing with a brown inkpad and attached it to the card. The "Greatest Dad ever" label was cut from the Sidecar paper and pop dotted to the card.

You can get the fantastic Sears & Son line at the Speedy Scrappers store. Thanks for stopping by and have a happy day!!

Too cute! kids bedroom door sign

Hi all, happy tuesday!!! Hope you are having a great day! Ok, so this glossy diecut just screamed for me to make it into something more than a scrapbook page. I  needed a new sign for my lil ones door and that is what i made using the kaisercraft hello sunshine collection. I first grabbed a piece of old cardboard (or a piece of the backing from a paper pad works well too) and cut it into a circle about an inch smaller than the diecut and adhered it to the back of the diecut to make it sturdy. Then, i took the letter stickers from the collection and added my lil ones names. I then bent a banner sticker border and added it to the top left corner. Next, i added some of my diy enamel dots to every other scallop and a little flower to the lion to make one a girl since the sign is for a boy and girl. Lastly, i hole punched two spots near the top and tied an polka dot ribbon to the top so i can hang it. Happy creating!   Jen t.     :)

Close up of the paper.( I tried to get a pic of the fabulously glossy animals on the paper but the camara pic just doesnt do it justice.) It is like glossy affects on them. So cool!

My lil' cuties lo w/ Ange

 Hello my Speedy Scrapper friends!
I hope you've had a lovely week and are gearing up for a fabulous weekend.
Today I have a bit of fun in my layout for you:

I've used Kaisercrafts Party Animals line for this layout. The pictures are of my oldest and youngest riding the ferris wheel at our local carnival. As you can see they were being a bit goofy and just having a lot of fun. Great moment to document!

I used the B side of Jive for my background, then cut a strip from Yippie for down the left side and the cute little lion out for the bottom right. I didn't want my photos to fit top to bottom, so I trimmed them down just a bit so I would have a little bit of room to play with their angles.

The strip of stars was the backside of a barcode and I cut the quote out of the Bop! paper.
I inked everything with black to make it pop even more and then darkened the already printed stitching on the alphas with a pen.

You can find this adorable line at the Speedy Scrappers store.
Don't forget to show us what you create on facebook.
Thanks! :)Ange

Up & Away

Hi, Joan here to share a scrapbook layout I made with Kaisercraft's Blubelle collection. Back in the 80's, I loved going to hot air balloon rallies. I went to many different rallies and took lots of pictures with my 35 mm camera, including the picture on this layout.

I used Oxford, Liberty and Capri papers to make this page. I also added the pennant stickers from the 12 x 12 sticker sheet. The title was done with white foam Thickers and I matted the photo on kraft and black cardstock. The edges of the papers were inked with brown chalk ink. I think the Blubelle collection is so pretty! Visit the Speedy Scrappers store to get the Blubelle and other great Kaisercraft collections!

I am thankful for... Pocket page

Hi all, happy tuesday!! I am popping on to share a fun pocket page-page i made using the hello sunshine diecuts, stickers, and cut aparts. This collection is super cute!  i had random pics i wanted to use from different dates so i thought pocket page. I used the number and month stickers on the corner of the pics to remember when the pics were taken and used the 4 x6 cut aparts to go in the pockets where my pictures weren't. I then used the fun striped paper to mat my pictures that I cut to 4x 6 and cut my pics slightly smaller. Next, I added sticker and diecut words and shapes to accent the pictures. I lastly, added faux stitching onto the cut aparts, inked the edges a lil and rounded the edges of all the cards with my corner punch. Tip- Don't have pocket pages?!  Just use the same page design and mat the cards onto a solid color 12 x12 piece of cardstock for a similar look. Make sure you grab your hello sunshine collection at speedy scrappers today. Thanks for stopping by and happy crafting!

Where to? w/ Ange

A simple question really, but so many possibilities.
Kaisercrafts now Boarding collection, found here, is a fantastic traveling line, but that's not all.

I thought this would be the perfect line to let my daughter know that hard work pays off.

I layered 3 different pattern papers with lots of ink and distressing. I also fussy cut the luggage out so I could slip the photo under a cover the edge a bit to highlight my daughter better.

Don't be afraid to use those barcode strips and cut elements out of the papers. Then layer some stickers and wording and you're ready to go.

Have a safe trip!

stinkin cute! animals birthday card by jen t.

Hi all, jen t. here. I am stopping by today to share a big and tall card (4 1/2 x 9 inches) i made using Kaisercraft's Hello Sunshine Collection. The stacking animal stickers were so stinkin cute i  just had to use them on a birthday card:) i used the stickers from the collections sticker sheet .To make it not any taller i trimmed off the alligator that was on the original sticker. i then placed that sticker on a base i made from the Snort sheet of patterned paper(9 x9) then folded it in half long ways. i then, did some fun doodling around the edges and added buttons to the right corner and banner stickers near the bottom for the sentiment. lastly, on the front i punched out a hexagon with my paper punch and added a number 5 sticker to the middle with a touch of fussy cutting on the bear hand to make it look like he is holding it. For the inside of the card, i took a scrap rectangular piece that i punched on , to use as a mat and windows to hang the two lil animal die cuts from the collection from. lastly on the inside i finished it by layering stickers to make a spot to write a lil note and doodled little corners and the label sticker. i had a lot of fun making this card . can you tell?! so make sure you get your hands on this collection so you can create a fun birthday card too. have a great day and happy creating!!   jen t.   :)

At the Train Station

Hi, it's Joan, here to share a scrapbook page with you today. My great-nephew, Milo, loves trains and so his parents took him to the train station. They all took a train ride and he was able to see the trains up close. I love this picture of him and used Kaisercraft's Blubelle collection for my scrapbook page.

I began with the B side of the Diamond paper as the base. First, I added three pieces of the patterned papers: Black & White striped (Azure), the orange piece (B side of Capri) and the blue w/black triangles (B side of Persian). Next I added small strips from the papers I cut and also a few barcode strips. (I save all my scraps! Even the tiniest ones can be used.) I die cut the stars and layered them. I slipped the 5"x7" photo under the strips and added the title: "U Love Trains". Then I added word stickers (from the Quotes sticker sheet). The blue quote I left as is, but the white one I cut apart and adhered it to the orange mat. Lastly, I mounted the page onto tan cardstock and then a larger piece of orange cardstock.

The Blubelle collection is one of my favorites. I love the variety - from pretty floral papers to vibrant orange patterned papers - this collection has it all! Visit the Speedy Scrappers store to buy the Blubelle Collection for yourself.
