4H Camp Buddies w/ Ange

Have you checked out the Wanderlust line from Studio Calico in the store yet? Hurry up and get in there and buy it! It is SO awesome! I swear there is not a single paper in this line I don't love. Check out what I did for today's project:

Awesome right? I can't tell you how much I love these colors and papers! So fun!! And perfect for this photo of my daughter and her friends posing for a photo before heading off to camp last summer.

I started with a sketch from Nuts About Sketches and framed the polka-dot paper with the fun yellow and white pp. I used black ink on my edges to really help the patterns stand out against each other.

Then I found a big bold alpha to use for my title and edged the letters in black also.

After that it was all about embellishing and journaling. I tend to forget an area for journaling when doing my own layouts, so it's handy to have a sketch now and then to make a spot for me. This fun black and clear washi tape I added was a cool touch.

If you haven't already, go now, and get this awesome line in the Speedy Scrappers store! Then come share your cool creations with us on the facebook page.
Happy Scrappin'
:)Ange

jillibean - alphas

One Card Idea ... Two Different Looks

Hello, it's Joan and today I have two cards to share. I made both cards using the same basic design, but with different papers from Crate Paper's "Party Day" collection. The first card is made with the brown polka dotted paper on a kraft card base. The background is white cardstock, with the top left corner rounded. A scalloped circle was punched from the red/pink striped paper and the #5 die cut was pop dotted to it. I used the washi tape paper included in the collection to cut strips, notch one end and layer them to the card. The word die cut was pop dotted over the tape.

The second card has the same basic layout. However this time I used the yellow striped paper (no rounded corner) on a white card base. The scalloped circle was punched from the brown polka dotted paper, with a #4 die cut pop dotted to it.

Crate Paper's "Party Day" collection includes two sheets of washi tape paper, 18 double-sided papers, diecuts, border stickers and phrase stickers. Check out the Speedy Scrappers store to order this fun paper line for yourself!

2 cards w/ Ange Weisbeck

Speedy Scrappers, are you in need of some fun, pretty cards?
Below are 2 of different sizes that I made using the same pattern paper from the Wanderlust line by Studio Calico. Remember you can find it in the store!

First up I have this pretty card:

Size 8.5x5.5 I started with white cs and played with some gelatos that I just picked up. Fun!

I used orange on the outer edge, then yellow just inside of that and blended them using a paper towel until I liked the way it looked. I edge punched the pretty pattern paper so the gorgeous gelatos color could show through. I grabbed my stash and added a rub-on, washi, sentiment and some 3d flower embellishments to finish it off.

Using the same supplies I fussy cut the gorgeous flowers out of the Studio Calico paper to add to this next card:

Size 4.5x5.5 First I used the same border punch on the front bottom flap. Then I got brave and layered red, orange, yellow and pink gelatos and blended. I really like it! I used the Studio Calico flowers after crinkling them up a bit, so the edges would stand out more. Then added my sentiment from my stash.

This Studio Calico paper can be found in the store!
Now, go get crafty and come share with us on the facebook page!

Happy Birthday!

Hello! It's Joan and I'm sharing a birthday gift bag, which uses Crate Paper's "Party Day" collection. First I covered the front of the bag with the chevron striped paper. Then I layered the orange Happy Birthday song paper and a scalloped circle cut from the yellow paper. I pop dotted one of the cupcake embellishments (included in the paper pack) onto the yellow circle. Next, I punched five banner pieces from the green papers and pop dotted them to the bag. I used blue and green twine from my stash to finish the banner. I added some shredded paper to the bag and it was done! (I took the handles off, but they could be put back in if so desired).

Shop for this fun Crate Paper collection at the Speedy Scrappers store.

Brothers by Ange

 Happy Friday, Speedy Scrappers!
Oh man, am I glad it's Friday. I need a breather for sure. I'm ready for a nice, scrap-filled, relaxing weekend. How about you?
Well today I have for you this super cute page of my sons being silly together and a bit of inspiration to start your weekend off right.

Do you have those moments when you know you want to scrap but you just don't know where to start? Me, too. Which is when I hit my favorite sketch sites. My all time fav is Nuts About Sketches, which is where the inspiration for this layout came from. It was actually a sketch for a big 8x10 photo, but I just threw my 3 photos in that space and put the elements in and around where I thought they looked good. I used this sweet "everyday" paper from the Studio Calico Wanderlust line and another of those adhesive strips from Crate Paper. This one was originally twice as wide as what you see here and only 12inches long. But I cut it in half lengthwise and then was able to layer it around my photos.

Then I just had fun layering random elements from my stash. Oh and that date stamp? I accidentally stamped it upside down, then colored over it with a white pen. It worked better than white out would in my opinion. lol

You can find the Studio Calico Wanderlust line and this fun adhesive strip sheet from Crate Paper in the Speedy Scrappers store. Come show us your creations on the facebook page!
Happy Scrapping!
:)Ange

Crate Paper - adhesive strip

Family tag

Hi, everyone, today I'm sharing a tag I made. I have loved making tags since the first scrap booking crop I went to (many years ago). Today's tag uses Moxxie's Forever Family collection. This is such a pretty line of paper! I covered my tag with the light green paper, punched out borders from the dark green, yellow, light green and brown papers and then layered the border strips onto the tag. I used a white doily from my stash and layered the yellow scalloped circle and then the Family circle sticker (I pop dotted it). Finally, I added flowers (BoBunny, Prima and Recollections) and ribbon.

To get the Forever Family collection, visit the Speedy Scrappers store. Have fun creating!

Mother's day card by Ange

 Hello Speedy Scrappers!
Today I'm working with Kaisercraft's The Looking Glass line.
I have this fun card that I plan to give my mother for Mother's day.

I started with a 6x12 cream cardstock base and really inked it up. I have a nice cappucino color from SEI that I went around the edges with but took it deep into the middle. Then I edged with the color bark. I really like the look.

I wanted to use the large floral sticker on this card. So I cut it down to fit the size I wanted and added it over this scallop border sticker that I also cut to fit my needs. Then I added some liquid pearls and glossy accents.

The upper corner felt a little bare so I added a couple banners and this pretty butterfly sticker. I really love the butterflies! This blue banner is the only piece on the card from the kit that is not a sticker. I just snipped it off of a leftover piece of pp from an earlier layout.

Look for this line in the Speedy Scrappers store and more inspiration on the facebook page.
I hope you enjoy your Mother's Day weekend!
:)Ange

Game by Ange

Hello! Today I wanted to share a little bit of what we spend our spring doing. Softball!
I'm a huge softball fan. Have been forever and I think I always will be. I have a special layout because it's about my daughter. I LOVE watching her play.

These papers are from the Studio Calico Wanderlust stack that you can find in the store. I used a sketch from here and just kept it simple. I edged my pattern paper piece and the entire layout with a charcoal ink. This is one of my favorite softball quotes so I did a big title but made Game stand out. The stitching is done with pen and the chevron "arrows" are cut from washi tape. Oh I also outlined my photos and the green alphas with a black pen to make them pop more.

Thanks for stopping by!
