More Chocolate plz! w/ Ange

 Hello!
Today I have this super fun collection that you can find at the Speedy Scrappers store!

Little Boy Blue by Crate Paper
This is the layout I made with it:

My cute little guy has one serious sweet tooth. These photos were taken after I caught him sucking on the chocolate syrup from the fridge, little stinker. But he was so cute, signing "more" and asking please with that cheesy little grin!

This set comes with a lot of patterns, 2 6x12 sticker sheets and 1 12x12 die-cut sheet, so I had a lot to work with. I cut and layered a couple of patterns under the photos and then added some strips of these adorable little ducks along the top and bottom of the layout.

I'm big on inking, so I did that with a nice bold blue to really bring out the edges, then layered more die-cuts and stickers under the photo edges and along pp borders and added a bit of pen stitching to a couple to make them pop. I happen to have this fun red Crate Paper alpha in my stash, so I used it for a large title and added the other words in smaller fonts.

I added a bit of stitching with blue twine to soften the hard lines a bit and go along with the twine I was adding to my journaling tag.

The journaling is tucked behind the middle photo, but it's on the back of this cute little card. Since my journaling was hidden I decided to add some words to the photos, so you get a gist of what's happening before you pull it out to read. Here's another look at the layout:

Swing by the store and get this cute Little Boy Blue line. You can also find us here and on facebook. Have fun scrapping!

Sweet 16

This scrapbook page is about my daughter and her 16th birthday. She and I spent many hours searching stores for the only thing she wanted - a pair of Wellies! They were not as popular then and hard to find. We finally found a cute pink pair!

I used papers from Kaiser Craft's "Tea Break" and Crate Paper's "Party Day" collections to create my page. The hot air balloon, Birthday Girl tag, label and small letter stickers are from the Party Day pack.

The heart Flair, arrow and black Thickers are from my stash. I typed the journaling, cut it into strips and inked the edges.

Let's roll! Birthday card

Hi all, happy tuesday! Jen t. here. I want to share with you a 6 x 6 card i made using the moxxie child's play collection. I first used the blue paper to make the card base then i fussy-cut the kite with cloud out of one of the patterned papers. Secondly, i fussy cut the "mountain" out of another patterned paper and a piece of the striped patterned paper to be the "road". Lastly,i added the flourish , let's roll  from the moxxie sticker sheet , puffy card stickers and number 2 ( from my stash) . For the inside, i used one of the diecut frames and stickers from my stash to spell happy birthday. Thanks for stopping by and happy creating!  Jen t.

Adventure >> This way!! by Ange Weisbeck

  Hello!
I'm so excited to be making my first post here on the Speedy Scrappers blog. And even more excited to let you know that this is just a peek at all the awesomeness that was sent my way! If you've been following the blog then you've seen some awesome projects from my fellow dt members already and I can guarantee there is even more fun in store for you!

Ok, enough with the chit chat here's my layout:

This layout is about my 3yr old son "reading" the map at the zoo last spring and this paper from Studio Calico Wanderlust was perfect for it! I started with this fun paper that reminded me of a map as my background and then tore two of the other prints to layer over it for the base beneath my photos.

Those strips you see going behind my photo are from an adhesive sheet! Made by Crate Paper, it's an entire sheet of strips that you just cut up, peel and stick! So fun, I'm excited to use more.

As you can see I just had a bunch of fun layering, tearing and adding this and that from my stash too. I used markers and inks on my wood veneer, they color up really easy, and then added some fun washi tape to the corners of my photos.
Lastly I inked my edges with a charcoal and then ran a dark brown pad around it too. I love the 'finished' look it gives a layout.

Head to the store and pick up this fun Studio Calico paper! It's got some fantastic prints. I think the next one I want to play with will be the orange, yellow & pink polka dot. Such a great color combo!

Thanks for stopping by today! You can find us on facebook too.
See you next week.

Birthday Card

Hello, everyone, my name is Joan. I'm one of the new Design Team members here at Speedy Scrappers.

Today I'm sharing a birthday card I created. I used the Party Day kit from Crate Paper to make my card. The kit is filled with great papers and lots of fun embellishments!

I die cut lace circles from the Party Day papers and layered them with white doilies from my stash. The Happy Birthday embellishment is so cute! I pop dotted it and the small white doily. Then I added a small gold heart (from my stash). I also put some lace on the card.

You can find lots of wonderful paper collections by checking out the Speedy Scrappers online store

Free 2B Me using Moxie's Child's Play Collection

Speedy Scrappers in house designer, Karen Anderson created this adorable layout of her son using the Moxie Child's Play collection. The full paper line is available in the store.

I love how Karen cut strips of the patterned papers for her background. The papers were then distressed with Distress Inks for more dimension so they pop off of the page! I love that photo of her son! So cute!!

Hope you have enjoyed this inspiration from Karen! Come see us again soon for more creative inspiration from our designers!!
